Puppdates User Agreement

1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You are responsible for your account, password, dog profile, owner profile, photos, stories, messages, meetup plans, vaccine records, certificates, and all activity connected to your account.
2. Owner Judgment and Assumption of Risk
Puppdates helps dog owners discover possible playdates and public meetup ideas. Puppdates does not screen, train, certify, supervise, insure, or guarantee any owner, dog, location, profile, certificate, vaccine record, behavior, meetup, or outcome. Dogs and people can be unpredictable. You voluntarily assume all risks related to using the app, communicating with users, sharing information, traveling, meeting, handling dogs, and relying on user-provided content.
3. Safe Meetups
You agree to use your own judgment, follow applicable laws, obey park and venue rules, keep first meetings public and controlled, use leashes when appropriate, avoid sharing private addresses too early, and stop any interaction that feels unsafe. You are solely responsible for your dog’s behavior, health, vaccinations, licensing, equipment, and supervision.
4. User Content and Accuracy
You promise that the information, photos, health notes, vaccine records, certificates, and messages you provide are accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share them. You will not upload false records, misleading profiles, harmful content, private information about others, or content that violates law or anyone’s rights.
5. Health, Vaccine, and Certificate Records
Records uploaded or shared through Puppdates are owner-provided only. Puppdates does not verify medical, vaccine, training, daycare, temperament, or certificate information and does not provide veterinary, legal, safety, or professional advice. Contact a veterinarian, trainer, venue, or other qualified professional when needed.
6. Location and Privacy
The app may use location features to suggest nearby parks or public meetup places. You control browser or device permission settings. Do not share exact home addresses or sensitive personal information unless you choose to do so and understand the risk.
7. No Emergency Service
Puppdates is not an emergency, veterinary, animal control, law enforcement, or rescue service. In an emergency, contact local emergency services, animal control, or a veterinarian.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to harass, threaten, scam, impersonate, upload malware, misuse records, collect other users’ information without permission, arrange unsafe meetups, promote illegal activity, or use Puppdates in a way that harms people, animals, property, the service, or other users.
9. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you release Puppdates, its owner, operators, developers, affiliates, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, injuries, veterinary costs, property damage, disputes, data loss, or other liability arising from your use of the app, user content, communications, dog behavior, records, meetups, locations, or interactions with other users. Puppdates is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Puppdates and its owner from claims, costs, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your content, your dog, your conduct, your meetup decisions, your violation of this agreement, or your violation of law or another person’s rights.
11. Changes and Termination
Puppdates may change, suspend, remove, or limit features, accounts, content, or access at any time, especially for safety, legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
